For T'Vondre Sweat, the next stop is Tennessee.

Sweat was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft on Friday night. He was the 38th overall pick.

The 6-foot-4, 366-pound Sweat was the second Texas defensive lineman selected in this draft. Byron Murphy II was Seattle's first-round pick on Thursday.

What Sweat brings to Tennessee in 2024 NFL draft

Sweat enjoyed a breakout season during his fifth year at Texas. During the 2023 season, Sweat was a unanimous All-American and the winner of the Outland Trophy.

NFL.com ranked Sweat as the No. 2 defensive tackle in this draft class. He was the fourth defensive tackle drafted.

Sweat's strengths, weaknesses at Texas

On its list of pros and cons for Sweat, NFL.com praised his large frame and strength and added that he "devours blocks, allowing linebackers to operate in space." The website also assessed that Sweat has average explosiveness and a limited ability to "make many plays away from home base."

Earlier this month, Sweat was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Sweat was compared by NFL.com to Tampa Bay defensive lineman Vita Vea and former NFL defensive tackle Sam Adams.

Sweat's stats with Texas

Eight of Sweat's 45 tackles this past season were behind the line of scrimmage. He also recorded seven quarterback hurries and two sacks. Led by Sweat and Murphy, Texas had the No. 3 rushing defense in college football.

Sweat was named the Big 12's defensive player of the year.
